Artistic Jobs displaced by AI imagery in Berea Kentucky
A living record of AI imagery used by local businesses and establishments—and the artistic commissions it may replace.
KYDocumenting the shift.
Making the impact visible.
Tracking potential impact
Overall AI presence in Berea include manual estimates and unfiled images.
Folder statistics include eligible images and past-data entries assigned to the folder. Images can belong to several categories; the overall view counts each image and monthly entry once. Pending review, disapproved, and disabled images stay excluded. Public counts do not make private images visible.
How the record is growing
Monthly records, including historical estimates.
One recorded use.
One potential commission.
Each uploaded image documents a use of AI imagery identified by the project administrator. The working estimate is one potential artistic commission displaced per recorded use.
This is a community estimate of potential opportunities, not a verified count of paid jobs lost. Images are not automatically classified as AI-generated.
Dates, estimates & counting rules
The administrator selects a month for each upload batch. New images are assigned to that month without an automatic week. Existing records retain their earlier assignments until corrected; weeks can be assigned individually from the gallery.
Folder views include eligible images and past-data entries assigned to that folder. Existing past data is assigned to the Based in Berea category; edit assignments in Past data. Categories overlap, so their totals should not be added together. A manual monthly total is a baseline: that month’s count is the larger of the manual estimate and its uploaded image count. “Additional unpictured records” are added instead. Monthly estimates and month-only images are never spread into invented weekly counts.
Weeks start Monday in America/New_York. A week crossing a range boundary includes only records in the selected months. Zero means no records entered, not proof of no AI use. Images pending review, disapproved images, and disabled images are excluded from image counts and exports. Approval restores their counts. Manual baselines and additional estimates remain unchanged. Similarity flags alone do not exclude an image.
